Today, my wife Susie and I celebrate 21 years of marriage. We’ll probably pull out our wedding DVD (that was copied from VHS) and walk down memory lane of that very special day 21 years ago. Beside Susie being my wife, lover, and mother of our three daughters, she’s also my best friend. That’s the way it’s been for the last 24 years (we dated for three) and that’s the way it’s always going to be. Just like all married couples, we faced challenges, adjustments and difficult times, but there’s one thing I know to be true; we have always faced them together. We are a team and have fought hard through the years to not let anything or any one come between us.
As I said, today marks 21 years of marriage for us, but in many ways it seems like my life began 21 years ago today. We’ve set a goal for our love and marriage: FINISH TOGETHER! This is our plan, purpose and passion for our lives together. So as I sit back and reflect on 21 awesome years loaded with magical memories of millions of mundane moments together, I can’t help feel deep inside, the best is yet to come. We got married to be together for the rest of our lives, and we’re going to be together at the Finish Line.
I love you Susie! Happy Anniversary!
